SPECIAL FLAG CEREMONY, 2013 National Jamboree at the Summit
UNITED STATES MILITARY SALUTE
SUNDAY, JULY 21st
At 1 pm on SUNDAY at the National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve a celebration FLAG Ceremony will occur where our countries Military will be honored.
This will be the only mid-day FLAG Ceremony that will be conducted at Twelve Points Plaza at the Summit during the Jamboree, providing a perfect opportunity for participants and visitors to enjoy.
The celebration will include the Jamboree Band, conducted by George Pinchchock which will perform patriotic material as well as the Military Anthem, which includes each of the branches songs.
The Honor Guard will be made up of representatives of the Order of the Arrow contingent members, as well as representatives of each of the branches of the military.
Finally, we will be presenting several historical American Flags, including “The Spiriit of ’76”, the “Star Spangled Banner” , the “Betsey Ross Flag”, and the “Flag of 1818”.
We invite all scouts, leaders and both active and retired members of the Military to join us at Twelve Points Plaza for this important celebration.
Twelve Points Plaza is the Flag Pavilion located in Legacy in the Summit Center.
